Demystifying sensitivity to electromagnetic fields

Over the few years that I’ve been doing EMF consultations, most of my clients have had some form of electrohypersensitivity or EHS, for short. There are many people out there that believe this is just a bunch of nonsense, and that it’s all in the person’s head. There is actually credible information out there about EHS and in Sweden, it is even a recognized medical condition.

I’ve had clients say they can actually feel EMF’s, such as tingling, or feeling buzzing. If someone has some sort of implant, such as a titanium screw or rod from a hip replacement or what not, that metal can act as an antenna, and while it sounds insane, they can actually hear very faintly a radio broadcast or country music. If you understand that an antenna is not much more than a piece of metal that picks up a certain frequency, then it’s not unreasonable to understand that foreign metal in the body can allow this to happen.

Others have trouble sleeping, because when exposed to enough electromagnetic fields, your body’s ability to produce melatonin is reduced, and melatonin production in the body is responsible for human’s starting to get tired in the evening. When not enough of that is produced, then problems can appear, such as insomnia. Headaches can be a result and heart palpitations can happen as well. I’ve had them off and on for years and doctor’s have had no good explanation, because lab tests and EKG’s came back normal. Only 1%More and more people are becoming aware of this once they start digging, but sadly, even doctors are mostly unaware of these connections. Most people aren’t aware that magnesium is absolutely essential for heart and cardiovascular health, and the vast majority of the population is deficient. I recommend that my clients use a lot of topical magnesium. I’ve used the magnesium oil below to good success to stop premature heart beats.

Magnesium deficiency is often misdiagnosed because it does not show up in blood tests – only 1% of the body’s magnesium is stored in the blood.

Dr. Robert O. Becker was one of the first doctors to start making links between EMF’s and health issues. His protégé, Andrew Marino took it even further. They’ve both written great books on this subject matter, and to broaden your knowledge on this, reading their works are advisable. “Cross Currents, and The Body Electric” are two of Becker’s most notable books.

Magnesium deficiency is synonymous with diabetes
and is at the root of many if not all cardiovascular problems.

When I mentioned earlier than implants can act as antennas, so can high levels of toxic heavy metals that build up in our bodies over time. Aluminum comes from cookware, aluminum foil touching our food, and even from building up soil. Mercury is spewed out of coal fired power plants. Lead can build up in soil as well. Hair tissue mineral analyses are a good way to evaluate what your exposure is to heavy metals, and is a good starting place when you desire to reduce sensitivity to EMF’s. In other posts I will discuss taking further steps to reduce exposure at home, especially when sleeping, when the body is in repair mode.
